Tea and forgiveness

burnt rice in the tea

sadly tastes that way

This is my first Senryu. It was inspired by reading more traditional Haiku by Carl Setzer. Thanks Carl. You are in no way responsible for my errant ways. https://carlsetzer.net/author/questionsall/

  1. Dear David,

Congratulations to you on your first try on composing Senryu! It is well done, not to mention that it pays homage to the Japanese tea ceremony.

Wishing you a productive weekend doing or enjoying whatever that satisfies you the most, including drinking fine tea!

    Yours sincerely,SoundEagle

    1. It’s a Nerada tea this mid-morning – a very gentle Australian brand of tea. The day started with the coffee which was ground fresh yesterday.
      Thanks for your thoughtful posts.

      1. Dear David,
It must be a very soothing way to start the morning after the Australian Federal Election has taken place yesterday!
Thank you for complimenting my posts as being “thoughtful”. You are very welcome to submit comments as tokens of your visits to those posts, as I am certainly very keen and curious about what you will make of my said posts. I would like to inform you that when you visit my blog, it is preferrable to use a desktop or laptop computer with a large screen to view the rich multimedia contents available for heightening your multisensory enjoyment at my blog, which could be too powerful and feature-rich for iPad, iPhone, tablet or other portable devices to handle properly or adequately.
Moreover, since my intricate blog contains advanced styling and multimedia components plus animations, it is advisable to avoid viewing the contents of my blog using the WordPress Reader, which cannot show many of the advanced features and animations in my posts and pages. It is best to read the posts and pages directly in my blog so that you will be able to savour and relish all of the refined and glorious details plus animations, given that my blog contains not just texts and images but also bespoke stylings and dynamic animations — images and stories that are animated on their own. These are not videos but actual animations.
Once again, thank you very much for your lovely Senryu.
        Yours sincerely,SoundEagle
