I forgot it is autumn over there, as we are coming into our Spring/Summer months. Autumn is my favourite season. I love to feel the leaves underfoot (or under Alfie’s wheels, in my case) crunching below me. Autumn is the closure of that part of a tree’s life, but it will spring back into life again next season. Love, Ellie Xox xox ๐ณ
From your gorgeous photo, autumn certainly looks beautiful out there in Victoria. It would be lovely to come and experience it with you first-hand. You never know what the future holds – I hope to be able to visit one day. Currently, my funds are extremely stretched due to having to have another tooth taken out privately (unfortunately) because of the medication I’m on for osteoporosis, which, as we’ve discussed, means that my HNS dentist can’t touch it. I’m looking at a bill of over ยฃ1,000, would you believe!? I may write a post about that, although it’s not a very interesting or enthralling topic to write about. With my love, Ellie Xox xox
Since all of us have such a fine musical taste and appreciated the English version of “Autumn Leaves”, I would like to inform you that I have featured some of the best songs, poems and festivals for the autumn season in one of my posts entitled “๐ค๏ธ๐พ A September to Remember: Greeting Post-Pandemic and Post-Elizabethan Age ๐๐ฐ with Sapphires, Asters, Poems and Songs ๐๐ผ๐๐ถ“, which also mentions and features the late Queen Elizabeth II in a special way. Dear SoundEagle. Thank you for letting me know this. Fortunately, I always use a laptop, as I know what you mean about viewing posts via an iPhone or tablet. I look forward to visiting your website very soon. Many thanks for your good wishes for the weekend to David and me. I hope your weekend is a good one, too. X ๐
You are very welcome! If you also happened to be an audiophile and connoisseur of fine sonic art, then you would be pleased by the availability of a fair amount of music on my blog, much of which comprises my musical compositions. These constitute only a fraction of my total musical output, as I have yet to find time to showcase the rest of my compositions on my blog. Moreover, those published compositions are by no means representative of my musical oeuvres, which are very diverse. Hence, you might wish to turn on your finest speakers or headphones, as some of my posts and pages will be playing music to you automatically.
Wishing you a productive weekend doing or enjoying whatever that satisfies you the most!

I would like to acknowledge Ellie with “Autumn Leaves” by the American songwriter Johnny Mercer in 1947.
The following version was sung by Nat King Cole. It is indeed a very nostalgic song. I hope that you and Daisy like it.
Thank you for composing this latest post of yours entitled “Counting on the leaves” as we enjoy the second month of autumn in the southern hemisphere.
Wishing you and Ellie a productive April and a wonderful weekend doing or enjoying whatever that satisfies you the most, whether intellectually, artistically, physically or spiritually!

Autumn is beautiful in Victoria. I’m sure you would love it here. I know there are other priorities, but wouldn’t that be nice.

I’m using a TV as a streamer. I think I’ll need to search manually for that. Could use phone and Bluetooth I suppose…
